Zip-Lining is a thrilling and exciting adventure, the experience is totally indescribable! Only the true adventurers at heart are advised to participate in this sport! You’ll be individually outfitted with helmets, harnesses and safety lines. Then you go soaring high above the jungle canopy. That is a ride of lifetime that you will never forget! Then you’ll hike 45 minutes down a jungle trail where your guide will point out the various plants, roots and herbs once used by the ancient Maya for medicinal purpose.

The next activity is Cave Tubing – exciting adventure you’ll never want to end and one you will always remember. Climb into your inner tube, turn on your headlamp and allow the gentle flow of the river to guide you through dazzling and complex crystalline formations of stalagmites and stalactites.

The ancient Mayas regarded these spectacular cave systems as a sacred underworld and home to many powerful gods.

At night, you will take a boat ride on the Old Belize River and enjoy the night sounds of the wildlife along the river banks and with the use of a flashlight you will spot for crocodiles.

Day 3 – Lamanai Maya Site

You are welcome to the land of ancient Mayan culture! It was an advanced civilization, excelling in writing, mathematics, and astrology. Lamanai, meaning “Submerged Crocodile”, is cradled on the shores of the New River Lagoon and is the largest Mayan ceremonial site in the region.

It boasts over 800 structures that were occupied as early as 1500 B.C. The onsite museum has precious artefacts on display portraying well over 2000 years of Mayan History.

On the way, you will get to enjoy a scenic boat ride up the New River, providing a great opportunity for wildlife spotting. At the site you will get to marvel at panoramic views of the rainforest and lagoon from atop the High Temple.

Day 4 – Hol Chan And Shark Ray Alley Snorkeling

On your first snorkeling stop at Hol Chan Marine Reserve you will be amazed at all the corals, and the different types of fish and sea creatures you will see. At Shark Ray alley, which is a part of the reserve, the main attraction is swimming with the Nurse Sharks and the Southern Sting Rays.

These creatures have a great tolerance for divers and seem to enjoy the human interaction. Some may swim in circles around you, like a cat rubbing against our legs. The world’s largest diving magazine, ‘Skin Diver’, has selected the place as one of the seven best “animal dives” in the Caribbean.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 – Howler Monkey Sanctuary And Belize Zoo Night Tour

The Black Howler Monkeys are found only in a small section of Central America. One of the most remarkable traits is its loud, rasping howl which can be heard roaring across the forest for well over a mile. The sanctuary is located along the Belize River, it embodies a combination of dense jungle, pasture, farmland, and small village life.

You will enjoy a tranquil hike through the forest in the look for howler monkeys and other wildlife that inhabit the area, while also learning about the rainforest plants and medicinal purposes.

In the evening you’ll head for the zoo. Only few tourists get to experience visiting the Zoo in the solitude of night. The Belize Zoo exhibits over 150 animals, representing over 45 species, all native to Belize. The zoo is very special: NONE of the animals were taken from the wild.

They were either injured, orphaned, born here, given as gift from other zoos or are confiscated pets (it is illegal in Belize to keep wildlife at home).

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 6 – Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave (ATM)

Actun Tunichil Muknal is one of Belize’s most impressive wet caves. After a 45 minutes hike, that includes three stream crossings, you will arrive at the cave entrance. Here you wade through ankle to chest high water before climbing to a labyrinth of dry chambers which lead to the magnificent cathedral, 1150 feet (350 m) long and 160 feet (50 m) wide, and filled with artefacts and sacrificial remains. Another climb takes you to the stone sepulchre where the Crystal Maiden lies.
