Day 1: Meet & Greet at Belize International Airport
A driver of Belize RUS will be at the airport with a sign with your name. He will transfer you to the Black Orchid Resort located only 20 minutes away from International Airport.
This eco-friendly, modern jungle resort is located only 30 minutes from Belize City and 20 minutes from the International airport. it is a perfect base for you to access the mainland and island. The resort features 23 air conditioned rooms, Restaurant & Bar.
Check into Black Orchid Resort (River View Room)

After checking in, relax and become familiar with the property.
3pm: Orientation with the guide: You will meet with your agent and guide at the poolside for orientation. He will go through the itinerary and answer any questions you may have.

Day 2: Lamanai Tour
At 8:00 am Our driver will pick you up at the lobby for a full day Lamanai Tour. Please bring along proper clothing and insect repellant as you will be in an area prone to mosquitos. You embark on a 40 minutes drive, North to Orange Walk, where you will board a boat for the 40-minute ride on the New River & lagoon to Lamanai.
Lamanai Maya Site is located in Orange Walk district, northwest of Belize City, on the banks of the New River Lagoon and the most spectacular way to travel to the site is by means of river boat up the river. This boat ride is perfect for nature-lover’s seeking to see wildlife along the way. It’s heaven for numerous species of water birds that live along this rich and diverse waterway. You may even be lucky enough to view iguanas, bats, crocodiles and birds. There are also interesting flora and fauna to be seen at the Lamanai reserve. Lunch, water, entrance fees included.

Day 3: River Cruise & Birding
6:00 am: Meet with guide at the dock for a 2-hour River Cruise on the old Belize River. The tour promises to be educational and adventurous. On the River, you will see Flora, Fauna and the possibility of seeing Crocodiles, Birds and wildlife. Some of the Birds we hope to see includes White-necked Jacobin, Ruddy Crakem Crested Guan, Plain Chachalaca, Bare-throated Tiger Heron, among many others.
- Return to the resort for Breakfast
- Rest and Relaxation. You have the remainder of the day to enjoy the use of Kayaks or Canoes and explore.
Day 4: Depart Black Orchid Resort
After breakfast, driver will meet you in the lobby after you check out. You will depart Black Orchid Resort in route to Crooked Tree, Birds Eye View Lodge, where you will spend 2 nights.
Day 4: Birds Eye View Lodge
Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary is the top neotropical birding site in Belize. The lagoons and marshes of Crooked Tree Sanctuary cover over 12,800 acres and is the home of untold thousands of birds. The Lagoons can get to a mile in width in the rainy season and may, in some years dy up in the dry season.

At 4pm- Meet your guide fir a 2 hours Sunset Boat Tour on the lagoon. On this tour, your guide will educate you on the lagoon birding and village history. You have the possibility of seeing birds such as boat-billed, flycatcher, night heron, anhinga, gray necked wood rail; Among others. This tour is an interesting and educational tour.

Day 5: Pre-Breakfast Birding (Crooked Tree)
This tour departs at 7:00am at a nearby trail for a 1-hour birding tour.
