Located on the Caribbean, Belize has an extensive coastline of pristine white sand beaches to enjoy as well as hundreds of cayes and small islands to explore. Diving and snorkeling are very popular. Inland, Belize offers adventures for everyone.
The Belize tropical rainforest is lush and untamed. The country is committed to preserving these forests and has made a large portion of the country protected areas. This ensures that the unique animals, birds and plants, some of which are only found in Belize, are safe in their natural habitat.
Belize is home to the ancient Maya civilization and has some of the most well-preserved Maya structures and artifacts found in the world. Visitors to Belize can explore these areas, including the underground sacrificial caves and experience this great culture first-hand.
