Black Orchid Resort has lovely sprawling grounds with high sweeping old growth trees, colorful tropic gardens, and the symphony of nature all over looking the grand Old Belize River – the perfect backdrop for your dream wedding. Our restaurant, conference area and delightful grounds can cater to all of your events needs and can accommodate parties up to 70 people. For those who wish to just "relax and chill out", there are a host of complimentary activities to keep you and your guests busy, including our freshwater swimming pools, canoes, paddleboat, nature trails and more. No matter what type of wedding you are looking to have, Black Orchid Resort can make it happen — from obtaining your license, arranging for a minister or Justice of the Peace to ordering flowers, arranging for a photographer, catering your reception and hiring a band. We have special packages for your guests — and special Wedding and Honeymoon packages just for you. i. Fully completed marriage license application form - Notarized by a J.P. 2. IF EITHER PARTIES OR BOTH HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY MARRIED: i. Fully completed marriage license application form - Notarized by a J.P. IF EITHER OR BOTH PARTIES IS A WIDOW OR WIDOWER: i. Fully completed marriage license application form - Notarized by a J.P. If you are over the age of eighteen (18), no blood test is required and no parental consent is required. Proof of age on your passport or birth certificate is required. Notes: Services are conducted by an ordained Minister or Priest. You must have two witnesses, either family, friends, hotel guests or staff. Our standard package provides a daytime ceremony, anywhere on Black Orchid Resort property. The Government of Belize requires that you reside in Belize 3 days and can submit your marriage application on the fourth business day. The completed paperwork is ready the following business day. We can facilitate the paperwork for you. Ministers and Priests may conduct ceremonies in their respective churches or any other location you choose, traditional or otherwise. Many Ministers will officiate non-sectarian ceremonies and allow you to write your own vows. Registry Working day is Monday to Friday from 8AM — 5PM Central Mountain Time. |
